 Life happens; I get it! If you need to reschedule your session, a minimum of 24 hours' notice is required. Reschedules are subject to my availability and must be confirmed with me directly.

If you cancel or request to reschedule less than 24 hours before your scheduled session, a $50 rescheduling fee will be added to your remaining balance.

Please note that all retainers are nonrefundable, regardless of cancellation or rescheduling.

Thank you for respecting my time and schedule, I’m committed to providing you with the best experience possible!

 All payments made are nonrefundable if a session is canceled due to circumstances outside of my control, including but not limited to:

• Weather conditions
• Client cancellation for any reason
• Failure to show up for the session 

Reschedules will be offered, when possible, based on availability.

For clients who are in town on vacation, I will make a reasonable effort to reschedule your session before the end of your stay. If we are unable to arrange a new session time, you will be eligible for a partial refund. 

Thank you for understanding and supporting a small business, it allows me to continue providing the best service to all my clients.

To ensure a smooth, high-quality photography experience, please note the following policy regarding guests and session expectations:

1. No Unapproved Guests:
Only individuals explicitly included in the original booking may attend or participate in the session. Bringing additional people without prior approval is not permitted.

2. Session Type Must Remain As Booked:
Your session has been scheduled and priced based on specific session details (e.g., individual, couple, family, branding, etc.). Requests to change the session type (e.g., turning a solo session into a group shoot) are not allowed on the day of the session.

3. Consequences for Unauthorized Changes:
Any unapproved additions or changes to the session may result in:

• Immediate cancellation of the session with no refund issued, OR
   
• A price adjustment, at the photographer’s discretion, which must be paid before the session can continue.
   

This policy is in place to protect your time, my creative process, and the experience we’ve planned together. If you’d like to make changes to your session in advance, please contact me at least 48 hours prior to your shoot.

 Please plan to arrive on time for your session to ensure you receive the full experience and all the images you’re hoping for.

If you arrive late, your session time will be shortened accordingly, as I often have sessions scheduled back-to-back. Sessions will still end at the originally scheduled time, and no additional time will be added.

If you are more than 15 minutes late without communication, your session may be considered a no-show and your retainer will be forfeited.

I understand that unexpected things happen, so please reach out as soon as possible if you're running behind. I’ll do my best to work with you when possible. 

 Creating a comfortable, respectful, and safe environment is a top priority for every session. To ensure a positive experience for all involved, the following guidelines are in place:

• Respectful behavior is expected at all times from clients and anyone accompanying them. Harassment, aggressive language, or inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated.
   
• I reserve the right to end any session immediately if I feel that myself, my equipment, or anyone present is at risk or being treated disrespectfully. No refunds will be issued in these cases.
   
• For sessions involving children, a parent or guardian must be present at all times.
   
• Please follow any location-specific rules (e.g., park regulations, property access limits, etc.) during your session.
   
• If you or anyone in your party is feeling unwell or has been exposed to illness, please let me know in advance so we can discuss options for rescheduling.
   

By booking a session, you agree to follow this policy and help create a safe, enjoyable environment for everyone involved.

All images created by Miranda Burkett Photography are protected under U.S. copyright law and are the intellectual property of the photographer.

• Copyright Ownership: Miranda Burkett Photography retains full copyright to all images. Clients are granted personal-use rights only, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
   
• Personal Use Rights Include:
   
  • Downloading and saving images for personal use
     
  • Printing images for personal display or gifts
     
  • Sharing on social media with proper credit (please tag or mention when posting)
     
• Prohibited Use:
   
  • Selling or profiting from the images in any form
     
  • Altering images in a way that misrepresents the photographer’s work (including applying filters, cropping out watermarks, or heavy editing)
     
  • Submitting images to contests or publications without prior written permission
     
• Commercial Use: If you need your images for business, marketing, or promotional purposes, please reach out to discuss a commercial use license.

• Defamation, slander, or false claims made about Miranda Burkett Photography on social media, review platforms, or any public forum may be considered grounds for legal action.
   
• This includes posting misleading or harmful comments intended to damage the reputation of the business or the photographer personally.
   
• I reserve the right to terminate future services or refuse service to individuals who engage in such behavior.
